Soul of Sagittarius

Ultimate

Chiron does not deal Crits. Instead, every 1% of his Crit Chance is converted into 2% of additional max Health. When releasing this Ultimate, Chiron retreats to his team’s backline and summons the Soul of Sagittarius phantom on one of his backline flanks for 12s. This phantom only performs auto-attacks and cannot be targeted. If Chiron takes fatal damage while the Soul of Sagittarius is on the battlefield, the phantom will be sacrificed and Chiron will teleport to its location, restoring 40% of his Health.

The second auto-attack also adds 10% of Chiron’s max Health as True Damage and “Imprisons” the target for 2s. Bio

Centaurs are notorious for their raucous and crude behavior… However, Chiron, who lived atop mount Pelion, was completely the opposite. He is the veritable model of civility. You see, distinct from the larger lineage of Centaurs, Chiron was the son of Cronus, the Titan-King of ancient Greece. However, his mother was not Rhea like the Gods of the Pantheon… His mother was the ocean-nymph, Philyra, but she was, unfortunately, not much of a mother to him. When Chiron was born, she saw this rather unique child and was horrified… Enough so that she immediately abandoned him. Luckily for Chiron though, the God Apollo felt pity on the young centaur and took him in…

In fact, Apollo treated Chiron almost like his own child. Apollo taught him about music, poetry, painting, astrology, and philosophy, and even had his twin sister, Artemis, teach him archery. With his firm, four-legged grounding, Chiron excelled with the bow and soon rivaled his teacher in accuracy and strength… In the eons of time since those days, Chiron continued to learn and distill all of his knowledge to become one of the greatest teachers in history. Theseus, Ajax, Achilles, Jason, Asclepius, and Hercules were just a few of his acclaimed students.

Amongst all of those renowned names, none is better-known than Hercules… For the son of Zeus, Chiron taught him archery and hand-to-hand combat, making him a juggernaut of refined skills. During his famed 12 Trials, Hercules returned to visit his former instructor. Chiron welcomed him into his home with fine wine and food. Unfortunately, the other centaurs smelled the fragrant meat and wine, and driven mad with desire, they began to break into the home. Hercules fought off these invaders, but an errant arrow hit Chiron. As an immortal, this incident would typically only be an annoyance for the centaur. However, Hercules had recently slayed the monster Hydra, and the arrow’s tip still had the poisonous blood of the monster on it. Although Chiron knew much about healing, there was no cure to this infliction. From this moment on, Chiron was deeply tortured with pain…

Much later, when Prometheus stole fire from the Gods, he was punished by Zeus for giving humanity such a powerful weapon. Prometheus was chained to a mountain to be tortured for eternity. Although Chiron had immortal life, he was also tormented by the hydra’s venom… He decided to sacrifice himself to save Prometheus. He exchanged his immortality to free the Titan (while Hercules put an arrow through the heart of the giant eagle that tortured Prometheus). Surprisingly, Zeus was moved by his half-brother’s selflessness and raised Chiron’s soul to be freed from pain as the constellation, Centaurus, or as it is better known, Sagittarius.
